There are two men, standing outside in the dark of night, hidden by the shadows around them. A small light hangs overhead, but does not put off enough light to reveal the men, but just their silhouettes. One of the men reaches into his pocket, and pulls out a box. He opens the box, and pulls a cigarette and a lighter from it, closes it, and sticks it back into his pocket. He puts the cigarette in his mouth, and lights it, followed by a long drag, and a large puff of smoke in the air. Finally, the man begins to speak.
You are destined for great things...No one can stop your fate...but you.
I know, big brother, but it's too hard. They ask things that I can't do...They...
The other man interrupts him, by sticking his hand up in the air, followed by another drag of his cigarette.
You CAN do them...You CHOOSE not to. Nothing is beyond your reach. You are your greatest hero. No one else can ever take that place.
It's not that easy. You know it's not. These people...they...they don't realize it yet. It's not my place to tell them how to live...
The man takes one final drag of his cigarette, and flicks the butt off into the distance, bouncing it off a wall, and back onto the ground, where it's light slowly fades into the night.
That, my brother, is where you are wrong. It is your destiny. It is our destiny. But...I have failed. I tried...I really did.
How? How do you control the people that have turned their backs on you? It's not possible!
Again. You are wrong. I did it...
Yes, and YOU failed! You said so yourself!
The man rubs his temples, reaches into his pocket, and pulls out another cigarette, and takes another long drag.
This isn't about me anymore! This is about you! I tried to save them, and I failed! It's your time, your life, your shining moment!
A strange voice begins speaking, though there are no other people around.
Daniel! Are you in there! Daniel!
The man with the cigarette drops it to the ground, and stomps on it, and puts his hands on the other mans shoulders.
It is your destiny! You must be a hero...a protector...a...Savior...
The strange voice speaks again.
Daniel! Come on Daniel!
Now...go. Save them. Do what I could not. I have fallen. You are rising. Go forth, my brother, and fulfill your destiny!
DANIEL!
The sound of a door being kicked open is heard, and the scene changes to one of a locker room, and Keith Jacobs is walking through the door.
Daniel, come on! We're on in a few minutes!
On the other side of the room, Daniel Eli is laying on a bench, staring at the ceiling, before sitting up, grabbing his bag, and walking towards Keith.
Sorry. I was just having a little nap. Let's go.
The two men walk out of the room, and the camera fades to black.
