(This needs to go AFTER when Danny attacks KJ and Dolan, so, maybe thursday? there is also one line that will have to be changed if Kevin beats KJ on monday, but I'm going to assume KJ wins.)
Daniel Eli is walking down the hallways backstage, with a sad look on his face, and a look in his eyes that says he is either thinking, or crazy. As he walks, he feels his waist, and ponders the empty spot where his tag team belt was. The further he makes it down the hall, he looks at the door coming up, examining the plate to say Takeover. He stops for a moment in front of the door, and lifts his hand, as to knock, but stops when he hears voices inside, instead choosing to stand and listen.
- Look, it's over. There's nothing left to do! We've beaten the GM, won titles, controlled a show...we're done...
- No, KJ, we're not done! So what if Danny left us? He was just a burden anyway!
Daniel clenches his fist, and the look on his face changes from one of sadness to one of anger, at the words coming from the mouth of the man, presumed to be Chris Dolan.
Dolan - There is so much left to do! I mean, you're the number one contender to the World Champion! We both know that you want that more than anything! But, you don't have to go it alone! I'm here to help you!
Keith - No Dolan. I don't want your help. I want to earn something HONESTLY for the first time in my career! You remember how Legend said I was a stepping stone? Well, sadly, he was right. I've realized that, and I've decided to do something about it. I'm done being a stepping stone for you and Danny. So, instead, I've turned the tables. Congrats Dolan, you were just the stone that I stepped off my career from. You got me in that match, you helped me win it, and now that I'm in the spotlight, I don't need you! You're just old baggage to me.
Daniel chuckles at the conversation.
Keith - So, enjoy your life, because I've just passed the "stepping stone" torch. Have fun with it.
Keith begins walking to the door, but stops.
Keith - The next time you see me, I'll be the WORLD Champion! And then you can kindly bow to me!
Keith swings the door open, and steps out, but stops when he sees Daniel standing there.
Keith - ...Danny.
Daniel - ...KJ....
The two men stare for a moment, before Keith walks off. Dolan walks over to the door, and stares at Daniel for a moment, before slamming the door shut.
Daniel - ...What have I done?
Daniel stands there, rubbing his temples.
- Oh, silly boy...
Daniel turns around to see where the voice is coming from, and sees Chris Legend hopping off a crate.
Daniel - What do you want, Chris...
Legend - Easy, little bro. I'm not here to fight. I'm here to talk.
Daniel clenches his fists, and brings them up, ready to fight.
Daniel - ...About what?
Legend walks over and puts his hands on Daniels fists, and lowers them.
Legend - You silly little boy. You were too blind to realize it.
Daniel loosens his clench a little bit.
Daniel - What are you talking about?
Legend - You were merely a puppet, a pawn...a fool! They've been playing you since day one! Did you think you were EVER going to get ANYWHERE with them? I mean, you couldn't even win a title. You had to STEAL it.
Daniel - I already know this...why do you think I turned my backs on them...
Legend smirks, and Daniel puts his fist back up.
Legend - Is that really why? Did you leave them because you felt guilty for stealing? Or, did you leave...
Legend takes a step closer to Daniel.
Legend - ...because you felt bad about fighting your own brother?
Daniel immediately drops his fists to his side, and hangs his head, followed by sounds of whimpering, and tears hitting the floor.
Daniel - I couldn't do it, Chris...You put me through all kinds of hell...and I still couldn't bring myself to hurt you. You're still my big brother, no matter what...
Legend smirks, and embraces his brother in a hug.
Legend - Danny, I didn't want to hurt you. But it was the only way for you to see that you were being used. It was the only way to get you to leave KJ and Dolan.
Legend releases his brother, and the two stand eye to eye.
Daniel - ...th...th...thank you...
Legend smiles, and wraps his arm around Daniel.
Legend - Don't worry about it. It's the least I could do...Now, come on, we need to talk...
