JJ Hunter sits in his office, signing papers, and pushing others out of the way. As he sits there, the intercom on his desk blares on.
Mr. Hunter...he's here...
Send him in, Martha.
A few seconds pass, and JJ's door swings open.
You wanted to see me, JJ?
He looks up and sees Chris Legend standing in the doorway.
Yes, Chris. Please sit.
Chris steps into the room, and sits in the chair in front of JJ.
Look, Chris. What I'm about to tell you isn't easy for me.
JJ runs his hands through his hair, and takes a deep breath before continuing.
You see...you're getting up in the years...You're almost 35. You...you just aren't entertaining the fans anymore.
Chris sits, with his mouth wide open.
Wha...
I hate to do this Chris. But, you're contract expires at the end of the night. And...I'm afraid I'm not going to renew it.
Chris continues to stare at JJ.
Tonight will be your last night with MWA. You will have your final match tonight, against your partner, Rod Lightning. Win or lose, you're done.
JJ signs a paper, and pushes it off to the side, and looks back up at Chris.
However, tonight will not be such a good night for Rod. If he loses, he will lose his mask. He's pestered me for too long, and now I want revenge.
Chris sinks his head, and sighs.
I'm sorry it has to be like this, Chris. I really wanted you to stay, but everyone agreed...you're just aren't entertaining anymore...
Chris nods, in a small attempt at agreement.

Chris gets up, and heads for the door.

Chris nods again, and pulls the door behind him, and JJ sits at his desk, burying his head in his hands, as the scene cuts to black.
