(Scene opens in the office of JJ Hunter. JJ is going through a large stack of paperwork and has a strained look on his face as he looks over the numbers. There is a knock at the door and Sarah Sanderson comes walking in wearing a very lovely yellow blouse that shows off her curves nicely. With her is a very plain man wearing a black trench coat. His brown hair is a little unkept but his brown eyes take in everything in the room quickly and methodically. Sarah and the man sit down on the other side of the desk from Mr. Hunter. JJ sets his paperwork aside as he addresses Sarah.)
JJ: Hello Sarah, what can I do for you today?
Sarah: A while back you asked me to find out some information for you about Tommy Bones. I called in a few favors and a friend of mine recommended that I higher a private detective to do some of the work because I was getting no where. This here is Darren Coles, he was highly recommended to me.
(Coles leans forward and shakes the hand of JJ Hunter.)
JJ: Alright. So Mr. Coles, what have you learned?
(Coles pulls out a brown file from his jacket and sets it on the desk for JJ to go through.)
Coles: We got three different issues going on here. So let me break them down for you. I will start with the easiest one, which is Sebastian St. Claire... First off, SSC is a millionaire which surprised me. I couldn’t get access to everything of his but he has to be worth around 200 million dollars.
JJ: That guy is rich? How did that loonie get that kind of money?
Coles: Looks like he was involved in some plastic surgery business. The guy is a 150 IQ and also clinically insane. He has been diagnosed with anti social personality, psychotic episodes, Delusions of grandeur and suspected multiple personalities. He wrestled about 5 years ago in a few federations with a thug named Frese. Together they were the Usual Suspects, after Frese got into some legal trouble, Mr. St. Claire disappeared from the scene until now. From what I have seen of him on your show, he looks fairly harmless right now but that can change at any time.
JJ: You’re a fan of the show?
Coles: No, but I had to watch it as part of the job. Your show is not bad though. Get rid of that Drew Koth fellow and I would almost consider watching it.
JJ: Well I don’t think Drew is going anywhere anytime soon.
Coles: No big deal, I wouldn’t have watched it anyways most likely... Anyways.... Next you got Tommy Bones. He is a former World Champion and has a pretty impressive wrestling resume. He is old money. His family was extremely wealthy and he has been involved in some shaddy dealings that have made him a lot of money. He has money hidden all over the place so I really don’t have any idea how much he is worth but I can safely say it is far more then SSC. The more dangerous thing that Mr. Bones has is connections. With old money comes connections and he has connections with many of the people who are the top 1% of the population.
You know about the Underground right?
JJ: Vaguely.
Coles: The Underground is the premier illegal wrestling racket in Chicago. It has been up and running for over 30 years and is run by Otto Veto. He was the old cat who Tommy Bones brought to your last PPV.
JJ: Gotch ya.
Coles: Mr. Bones began his wrestling career in the Underground and learned the ropes there before going onto bigger and better things. There were two very interesting things that I discovered though. 1) Mr. Bones faced Furious Steele three times in the underground and Steele was victorious in all three of the matches. I spoke to a few people who saw the last match and said it may be the most brutal match they ever have seen..... 2) I have tracked down a lot of information on Furious Steele. He has held 10 world titles in 7 different federations... Every where he goes the fans have hated him.
JJ: What is interesting about that?
Coles: Getting to that..... In the Underground Furious Steele is considered a god. He is adored by the fans like the Von Erich’s in Texas, Dusty Rhodes in Florida or Jerry Lawler in Memphis.
Sarah: What makes him so popular there?
Coles: The place is twisted. He is loved because they know he is going to take a horrific beating and give one out also. They are like hungry dogs there and they know he will bring blood.
Sarah: You have been there?
Coles: I was able to get in for a show... There wrestlers don’t have the talent that the MWA does but they make up for it by extremely violent matches. The other thing is that interference is completely against the rules. In the last match between Bones and Steele. Bones was kick out of the Underground for having somebody get involved in the end of the match to try to help him. He has always denied that he hired the guy for what that is worth.
(JJ Hunter sits back in his chair thinking)
JJ: So how did this come together with Steele working for Bones then?
Coles: I am not exactly sure, what I do know is that Veto’s kid Marcus Veto got himself in trouble with some big wigs in Vegas. A few weeks after that Furious Steele appeared in the MWA and you know the rest. I don’t know the how the two are connected but I am sure they are. I tried to talk to Marcus but he wouldn’t meet with me..... He is currently in a treatment center in Wisconsin laying low.... He has a huge reputation for being a ladies man. Maybe he will talk to Sarah.
JJ: That is an excellent idea. Thank you for all the info Mr. Coles and if you find out anything else please contact me.
(The scene closes with the two shaking hands.)
