Earlier Today...
The camera shows Rod Lightning in a local gym's locker room, putting on his shirt in preparation for a hard work out. As his shirt goes onto his neck, he sees that Brandon "The Ripper" Ripley is standing right in front of him. They both stare at each other, as if they're ready to pounce on each other.
Brandon Ripley: You know by now that we have a match against Darqueness and Lance Jade. I'm 90% sure that we can destroy them together. What you don't know though is that 90% isn't good enough for me. I want to be 100% confident that we can destroy them, so I'm here to train with you.
Brandon Ripley: Oh and I already know what you're going to say about this. You may talk about how we will figure out each others strengths and weaknesses through this workout. If you weren't thinking that you're probably concerned about the title shot that goes to whoever gets the decision. Rest assured I'm only here to lift weights to you and scout on our opponents together to exploit their weaknesses. And about the title shot influencing our teamwork, How about after we win the match, we write our initials on ten separate index cards and then draw one name out of the hat. The initials chosen out of the hat will get the title shot. You up for that?
Rod Lightning just stares at Brandon Ripley, and then he smiles.
Rod Lightning: You're 90% sure we can win? To make that 90% into 100% i suggest we start training right now! Because when your body isn't at 100% our success rate will drop and that is something we want to avoid at ALL cost.
Rod Lightning: I have one problem with your suggestion. You say we will draw a name out of a hat? I say after a hard tag match against Darqueness and Lance Jade we fight and earn that title shot, I don't wanna get a title shot based on luck. I want it based on skill and endurance in the ring.
Rod Lightning: But that's for later, would you mind holding the punch bag for me?
Brandon Ripley: Yeah we'll talk to the twins about a possible match between us next week. But as for now...
Brandon Ripley holds the bag for Rod Lightning.
