I recently had a chance to speak with Lance "the Wolf" Jade about several matters here's what he had to say.
*The scene fades in of Justin Cole in the room of a hotel sitting across from him is a nicely dressed Lance Jade.*
Cole: Thanks for taking the time to speak with us...
Lance: Save it Cole. I only answered th' door 'cause I thought ya might be my date. Thankfully ya ain't.
Cole: You have a date? With who?
Lance: *with a menacing look on his face* Is that any buisness of yours?
Cole: Uhm no, I guess not. Okay so first question: Lately you've been trying to assemble a group...
Lance: Okay stop right there. I need t' correct ya before ya make an ass outta yerself. I'm not tryin' t'assemble anything! What I'm doing with Rod and anyone else who decides ta side up is getting people together to watch each other's backs and maybe tag up from time to time. Nothin' more nothin' less. I've had enough of being in stables for a while as is. But, with Ritter and Leka in th' Empire, creating an alliance makes sense.
Cole: But surely you, having been a memeber of....
Lance: What's in my past is just that, in my past. Sure I was a member of the DWO and because of that I've got a lasting friendship with Mr. Riddle, an' Yeah I was part of th' catalyst for destroying the Regime! But truthfully that was gonna happen anyway.
Cole: Your relationship with Mr. Riddle has certainly paid you dividends in a short time. Being named number one contender then getting into the Lethal Lottery by taking out Killraven....
Lance: *narrowing his eyes* I don't think that was a question Cole, but I'm going to answer it. Yeah! Riddle made me number one contender an' I fought Lex Largon like I would anyone I respect: with all I got an' more! I know though Cole what ya was about ta say ah can finish for ya. Back at X-treme warfare one ya said ah was one of th' most dangerous wrestlers in the MWA an' ya were right. But it's not jus' cause ah got the skills ta win if things go my way. It's also 'cause I always have a plan. The Empire's a threat an' don't like me so ah look fer help, that's planning! I want ta be world champion so I get myself inta th' Lottery. That's planning! Get it?
Cole: Yes. Now about what happened in Extreme Warfare. Going in you seemed to think you had the match won before it started...
Lance: That has ta be th' stupidest thing ya've said today Cole. I didn't know if I was gonna win, lose or die in that match. All I knew was that I was going inta somethin' I enjoy: a good fight! An' that's what I got. I came out of that match sore and with the losers purse, but I found somethin' in there too. I found respect for Xander Styles, Machine, Lex Largon, an' though he probably won't believe it, respect for Falco Fusion. An' if any of them ever were ta ask, I'd gladly watch their backs.
Cole: You speak so foundly of X-treme warfare. I have to ask if there's another one, would you ask to be part of it?
Lance: In a heartbeat. I see yer confused Justin. I know why though. Anyone in their right mind would never agree ta be in one X-treme warfare, two certifies ya as crazy, but what would that make a person who would be in three? Four? Twelve? It depends on perspective Cole, it really does. X-treme warfare shortens lives, shortens careers and can be traumatizing ta the nth power. But it's also a chance to push th' envelope an' go above an' beyond what is normally expected. *a knock on the door sounds* That's my date Cole. This interviews done.
*Screen fades back to Cole and Rogers in the arena*
Rogers: Well Cole?
Cole: What?
Rogers: Who was his date?
Cole: I can't tell you.
Roger: Why not?
Cole: Just trust me Garret, I have my reasons why.
