The camera cuts to Sara Sanderson who is standing backstage.
“Ladies and Gentleman please welcome at this time the MWA World Champion Macho Steele.”
Macho walks into the camera shot and the fans are heard booing, Macho has a tight shirt on that shows off his impressive physique, he is also wearing shades and has the world title draped over his shoulder, there are a few bandages visible under Macho’s shirt, a result of his Deathcore match with Lex at Winter War.
Sara: “Congratulations on retaining your title at Winter War.”
Macho (interrupting): “Congratulations on being able to sound professional for the first time since I have been here.”
Sara: “Excuse me?”
Macho: “I know you don’t like me and wanted your little friend Lex to beat me to a bloody pulp and take my title at Winter War, well guess what? That didn’t happen.”
Sara: “I promised myself I wouldn’t get into this crap this season so let’s just get on with this ok, now at Winter War you successfully defended your title in the Deathcore match against Lex Largon, how do you feel?"
Macho: “Match? That was no match, that didn’t even resemble anything like a wrestling match. I mean, panes of glass, barbed wire, C-4!! Lex dragged this so called wrestling match down to his level and made it an all out brawl. Well you know what Lex? I walked into your back garden, into your environment and walked out with MY title around MY waist, just like I told everyone.”
Sara: “Well you make the ‘brawl’ sound pretty much one-sided but looking back, were you even aware that you had pinned Lex? I mean you both seamed pretty out of it but you were the one with your arm across Lex forcing the pin fall.”
Macho: “Look, it doesn’t matter how I won the brawl, the fact is that I still have this title sitting right here on my pretty little shoulder and nothing was taking that away from me, just like I said Lex. You should just count yourself lucky Lex that I don’t have you arrested or sued for trying to commit a crime against humanity at Winter War.”
Sara: “What?”
Macho: “You heard me, at Winter War Lex purposely tried to disfigure my face he purposely tried to disfigure my body. It doesn’t matter if the beaten and broken old body of Lex Largon gets a few more marks or scars on it but for me it’s a different story, any blemishes on this temple and it could cost me millions and millions of dollars, not to mention the trauma that several million women would go through. Just count yourself lucky Lex that I have a good plastic surgeon.”
Sara: “Well I also wanted to ask you about the number one contender situation, at Winter War we saw the Battle Royal in the final of the Lethal Lottery tournament and whoever won the Battle Royal would become the number one contender for your world title. The result of that match is pretty much up in the air right now as the final two, Rod Lightning and Morticia D’Morte appeared to hit the ground at the exact same time, what is your view on this?”
Macho: “Everyone is asking who hit the ground first? Who was able to hold on for that split-second longer and win the match? Well the way I see it is this, both Rod and Morticia heard my warning shots at Winter War, they heard what was going to happen to them at the hands of Macho if they won the Battle Royal. As I was watching backstage I saw that moment, the moment both Rod and Morticia realized they were in the final two, I saw the look of fear in their eyes as they realized that they may have to go on and face the undefeated, the unstoppable Macho Steele. They weren’t trying to put each other over the tope rope and win the match they were fighting to be the FIRST one over the top rope so that they would lose the match and wouldn’t have to go on and be embarrassed by me. Now that they saw the example that I made out of Lex I am sure that none of them will want to step in that ring and face me one-on-one, well Rod and Morticia, it doesn’t matter which one of you goes on to face me, all you need to know is that this title isn’t going anywhere it is staying right here where it belongs.”
Sara: “You seem to have a lot of people after you at the moment, everyone wants to take the world title off of your shoulder. Earlier on tonight we say Bloodbath issuing you a challenge a Last Man Standing Match for the World Title, do yo…….."
Macho (interrupting): “Let me just stop you right there, I am World Champion and with that I realise that I have a big X on my back, I am a target for a lot of people around here. What I didn’t bank on is how STUPID the people around here would be, I mean have they been watching my matches? Do they realise how much pain and suffering I can put them through? I am starting to think that some guys around here have a death wish.
Bloodbath, what gives you the right to think that you can jump to the front of the queue? Correct me if I am wrong but wasn’t there a big battle royal to determine the number one contender? Now I know that there is no final conclusion on who won the battle royal but the last time I checked you weren’t one of the participants who were disputing the win! On another note, what gives you the right to demand a Last Man Standing Match? What gives you the right to make any demands at all? I am the champion and I am the one who calls the shots, not you! I put my body through hell at Winter War, I am in no fit state to compete in a Last Man Standing match tonight. I also have a lot bigger fish to fry than you Bloodbath, you should just consider yourself lucky that I am rejecting your offer it would only lead to embarrassment.”
Macho looks as if he is thinking something over
Sara: “Well there you are ladies and gentle…….
Macho (interrupting): “You know what Sara, I have had a change of heart, I have thought twice about it. Who am I to deprive these fans of a World Title match tonight? Who am I to deny these fans witnessing their favourite Bloodbath get a title shot? Tonight it is going to be Macho Steele verses Bloodbath in a Last Man Standing Match for the World Title. You say that one more try aint gonna hurt? I will prove you wrong, you bring whoever you want to the ring tonight, it won’t change the inevitable. I am going to put a beating on you like no one has ever seen, I am going to make sure that those fans out there, your fans, witness the last ever match in your career, tonight you will be added to the list of people who have come to realize that…….
